Customers looking for a general purpose spectrum analyzer will appreciate the flexibility of the ESA spectrum analyzer that can be used for a wide range of applications from aerospace and defense to the manufacturing line. With express analyzer configurations customers will not only benefit from faster delivery, but also see a price advantage. The three express analyzer configurations are listed below in more detail.

Customers who wish to take advantage of the ESA flexibility but who need a faster analyzer for the manufacturing line, or connectivity to LAN/USB in addition to GPIB, or want to do in depth signal analysis with 89601A VSA software (link) will benefit from the new EXA signal analyzer. The EXA signal analyzer now comes standard with many of the ESAs optional features and yet offers more applications than the ESA. For more information see the EXA Signal Analyzer home page.

ESA Standard Express Analyzers (STD/STG): All standard express analyzers include fast time domain sweep, FM demod and GPIB connection. To add the functionality of a tracking generator, only available on the ESA, order the STG option.

ESA Basic Express Analyzers (BAS/BTG): As the lowest cost ESA option, the basic express analyzers include a 50 ohm RF input, GPIB connection, IF sweep port and video output. To add the functionality of a tracking generator, only available on the ESA, order the BTG option. The basic express analyzers are ideal for cost conscious bench-top or manufacturing environments.

Customers looking for a more portable solution would benefit from the new handheld spectrum analyzer N9340B.

Customers looking for a lower cost alternative to the ESA should consider the new N9320B.

ESA Communication Express Analyzers (COM): The ESA Communication analyzer includes many additional options required to demodulate select wireless standards.

The New EXA Signal Analyzer is a great alternative to the ESA-COM express analyzer. All demodulation hardware and speed advantages are standard. In addition, the EXA can run the 89601A VSA software internally to demodulate even the most difficult wireless signals. For a lower cost VSA alternative, many customers are now using the 89601X VXA measurement application for their demodulation needs, only available on the X-Series Signal Analyzers (MXA/EXA).
