4G LTE 是由 3GPP 开发的 LTE 演进版本,旨在达到或超过国际电信联盟(ITU)的要求,建立真正的第四代无线通信标准,即高级国际移动通信(IMT-Advanced)。4G LTE(项目名称是 LTE-Advanced)最初在 3GPP 标准第 10 版中进行了规定,预定于 2011 年 3 月完成标准的最终确定。4G LTE 标准将会在后续版本中不断地完善。
