Can I network my B1500A?

The B1500A has a 10BASE-T/100BASE-T LAN port, and it can be networked like any other Microsoft Windows-based PC. However, just like any other PC you should take the proper precautions before connecting the B1500A to a LAN. These include the following:

1. Apply the latest supported Microsoft Windows updates.
2. Use a fire wall.
3. Avoid connecting to a WAN.
4. Use third-party virus software to protect against infection. [Note: Please refer to the FAQ entitled "Are there any limitations on the types of software that I can load onto the B1500A’s PC?" under "System Maintenance."]

Connecting the instrument to a LAN is done at your own risk.
