How can I improve the boot-up time of my Agilent CSA?
While the Agilent CSA boot-up time is one of the shortest of all of our current spectrum analyzer products, it is possible to improve the boot-up time if you are not connecting it to your local network.
The instruments are originally shipped from the factory with the IP configuration set to DHCP so that you would be able to connect it up to your DHCP network right out of the box. However, if you are not using it in this manner it will spend approximately 1 extra minute looking for a DHCP network during the boot-up process before it decides that no network is present.
If you are not connecting your analyzer to a network you can eliminate this delay by following these front panel key presses:
- System -> Controls -> IP Admin -> IP Config -> None -> Save
For further information on the network configuration of these instruments please see chapter 10 of the measurement guide.
