What happened to the Agilent 6843A Regulatory Test Solution and Agilent 14761A, 14762A, 14763A and 14769A associated software products?

The Agilent 6843A Regulatory Test Solution and associated software products (14761A, 14762A, 14763A and 14769A) are now obsolete. These products will be in support until February 2004.

Late during 2000, an amendment (A14) was made to the IEC 61000-3-2 Harmonic Current Emissions Standard. The amended standard will not be enforced until January 2004. Therefore, the present revision (A.05.03) and all previous revisions of the Agilent 14761A Harmonic and Flicker Emissions software can still be used to do compliant level testing to IEC 61000-3-2 without the amendment. Since the amendment involves a relaxation of the requirements, any product that passes the tests using the existing 14761A software should pass the amended standard.

Agilent plans to do one last revision of the 14761A software to include the A14 amendment. This revision is expected to become available for existing 14761A customers around July 2001.

The 14762A Voltage and Frequency Disturbances Immunity and 14763A Interharmonics Immunity Test software products will not be upgraded in the future. Both have software revisions of A.00.01.
