Why Can’t I Open the BenchLink II AgtDB.mdb Database File in Microsoft ® Access?
The AgtDB.mdb database file is used by BenchLink II to store data it needs to operate. This includes setup information, configuration/data files generated, and other data. This file is password protected to prevent access to them.
Storing the names of the configuration/data files is to prevent using the same file names over again. This is to make sure that there will always be a record of all data generated which will be lost if the files are overwritten.
The data generated from a 34970A scans is stored in a data file (.xml file) that is associated to a configuration file. Each configuration file can have associated one or more data files. These files are also password protected. The only way to get the data from the data file is to open the associated configuration file in BenchLink II and select the data to be viewed. Then, the data can be exported to a .CSV or .TXT file to be loaded into Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, graphing, etc.
