X-Series Signal Analyzer Enhancements
Upgrade your PXA signal analyzers with real-time spectrum analysis
The PXA is the first high-performance signal analyzer to be upgradable to real-time
capabilities. You can easily add real-time capabilities to a new or existing PXA using license-key upgradability. With the PXA as the foundation, you get new levels of performance, flexibility, and usability in real-time spectrum analysis. To go deeper, you can combine a real-time PXA with the 89600 VSA software to create a solution that lets you thoroughly characterize complex signals.

MXA and EXA signal analyzers now include Windows 7 operating system
- Greater than ~12.6 GB virtual memory with 8 GB RAM allows for all existing applications to be loaded at one time
- For new instruments, Windows 7 and a 64-bit processor are now standard
- Optional downgrade to Windows XP (for a limited time at no charge)
- For existing instruments, upgrade to Windows 7 and 64-bit processor is available
- Familiar user interface
- SCPI command available to query the OS (WinXP or Win7)
- IPv6 capable
mmW EXA now has 40 MHz analysis bandwidth available
- Superior accuracy achieved with excellent flatness performance across the 40 MHz bandwidth (up to 2 GB capture memory) for up to 44 GHz carrier frequency
- Requires firmware version A.12.00 or later
- Option MPB: provides microwave preselector bypass up to 44 GHz
- Option DP2: digital processor with 2 GB capture memory (same hardware as Option B40 without 40 MHz license)
