Can Command Expert help me figure what instrument commands I need to change if I switch instruments?

Yes. If you make a sequence, you can temporarily change the instrument's command set to see what would happen if you switched to a different instrument. Any commands that aren't supported by the different instrument will be highlighted in red. See the Help Documentation section on "Modifying a Connect Step".
