In the 35670A marker function list, there is a "Band Power" function under Band Marker. How does the analyzer compute the Band Power?

Band Power calculation in the 35670A is done by summing the power contained in each of the frequency bins contained in the band and then dividing the result by the "Effective Bandwidth".

Effective Bandwidth is computed as follows:

Effective Bandwidth = (Frequency Span in Hertz/ Frequency Lines of Resolution)* Window_Factor

Window Factor is dependent on the “Window” type:

Window Factors for different types of Windows are as follows:

• Uniform Window = 1
• Flat-top Window = 3.82
• Hanning Window = 1.50
