N1996A CSA Spectrum Analyzer Firmware Update

Updating the firmware in your spectrum analyzer has never been easier!!

• Download the USB .zip update file below to a local PC drive
• Extract the downloaded .zip file to a USB storage device
• Insert the USB device into one of the 3 instrument USB ports
• Turn the instrument on and follow the simple on-screen prompts

In just a matter of minutes you will be running the new version.

Please Note:

• While the files contained in the PCMCIA update version can also be used when installing the firmware via USB, it is intended for use by a qualified service technician. The only difference between the two versions is that the PCMCIA version also contains a few extra files required to boot the instrument from the internal PCMCIA slot if needed during servicing the instrument.

• Do not attempt to use this update on an instrument that is currently using a Beta version of firmware without first contacting the Agilent representative responsible for the instrument for further required instructions. Failing to do so could render the instrument unusable.
