Audience: Engineers and technicians responsible for Agilent 3070 Window's 2000 Based Board Test system administration.

New system managers: Learn to successfully perform the tasks required of an Agilent 3070 WINDOWS 2000© System Administrator. Examine the hardware inside the personal computer. Understand the start-up and shutdown procedures. Examine the file system structure. Examine options available for protecting it (backup and image). Learn to manage the system's configuration. Add users and groups. Discover the tools available to the system administrator for generic system administration and specifically for the 3070. Examine Networking. Learn to implement a disaster recovery.

Strongly recommended for new system managers requiring an introduction to system management concepts, issues and solutions. The class focuses on system administration topics as they apply to the 3070. This is not a replacement for generalized Windows system administration training.

Agilent 3070 Window's 2000 System Administration is conducted periodically in Loveland, Colorado. The class begins Tuesday at 8:30am and concludes Friday at about noon. For exact dates, please call to schedule. This course may also be delivered on-site: H7230B #305.

  • Learn the fundamentals of Windows System Administration for Agilent 3070 systems.
  • Gain knowledge of Windows file system management as it applies to the Agilent 3070
  • Use the System Administration graphical user interfaces to assist with system administration duties.
  • Install and delete users, change passwords and permissions.
  • Install software upgrades and create a disaster recovery system.
  • Understand LAN fundamentals and learn to install additional test stations, peripherals, and instruments on the LAN.
  • Gain knowledge of the boot process for individual Agilent 3070 testheads and LAN connections to the Control XT and Control XTP cards
  • Understand Hierarchical File System (HFS)
