Mobile WiMAX is attracting a very high level of interest as an alternative delivery mechanism for wireless broadband data. Before devices can be released for use, they have to undergo a series of radio tests to ensure they meet a specified level of performance and interoperability. Some of the tests are being specified in the WiMAX Radio Conformance Test (RCT) document. In general, a wider set of tests are needed to ensure spectrum compatibility and basic manufacturing efficiency, including confirming design margins. This webcast reviews the radio tests that can be tackled using a standard Vector Signal Analyzer and Generator. It will provide insight into the test objectives and configuration needed to evaluate devices during design validation, integration and initial manufacturing.
