The DisplayPort standard specifies physical worst case conditions under which a receiver i.e. sink device is supposed to operate with a specified error rate. Besides the standard document the VESA compliance test specification defines a suite of tests that verify receiver functionality under stressed-signal conditions for the purposes of ensuring DisplayPort interoperability. The compliance test suite is limited to functionality to optimize test time, and does not provide comprehensive coverage of all receiver tolerance requirements defined by the DisplayPort Standard specification.
Two Bit Error Ratio Tester (BERT) setups address in depth product characterization as well as DisplayPort compliance testing. Both solutions are integrated seamlessly into Agilent's portfolio of DisplayPort test solutions that address a whole range of source, cable and sink testing.
All in one solution for sink characterization and compliance test. With its integrated jitter sources J-BERT N4903A is a one box solution to cover all R&D and compliance needs.
The 81250A ParBERT sets the standard in video test efficiency. With multiple generators a ParBERT setup can test a multi lane DisplayPort sink device with superior efficiency. Furthermore ParBERT is the ideal tool to stress inter-lane dependencies.
81250A ParBERT covers all compliance tests and is the ideal tool for sink characterization.
Customers with a test need for HDMI may use the E4887A TMDS signal Generator for HDMI and DisplayPort.
N5990A test automation software
The test automation software addresses compliance testing and extensive product characterization. It unites all instruments under one user interface. It automatically performs setup calibration and runs whole test suites without user interaction. It saves time and labor as well as it eliminates human errors during test execution.
