AXIeはATCA、PEI™、LXI™、IVI®の既存の規格を活用するオープン規格で、ラック1インチ当たりの性能が高く、タイミング機能、トリガ機能、モジュール間のデータ移動機能など、高性能の電子計測システムの実装に重要な追加機能を備えています。
AXIeは、LXI規格やPXI規格を補完するのに最適です。AXIeにはPCIe/LANインタフェースが含まれるため、AXIe測定器は、仮想のPXI測定器またはLXI測定器のように動作します。
AXIe製品のラインナップには、メインフレームやコントローラに加えて、次のカテゴリの最高性能の新しいモジュールが含まれています：任意波形発生器（AWG）、高速ロジック解析モジュール、PCI Express Gen3/HDMIプロトコル・アナライザ。
