Agilent IVI Driver Patch for Vista/7 if IO Libraries Suite not installed

You only need this patch if you are using an Agilent IVI driver on Microsoft Windows Vista/7, AND Agilent IO Libraries Suite will not be installed.

If you have installed Agilent IO Libraries Suite 15.0 (or later) on Windows Vista/7, your Agilent IVI drivers will work as designed.

However, if you would rather use another vendor’s VISA implementation, e.g. National Instrument’s VISA, with Agilent IVI drivers, you will need to install a special patch. This patch fixes a defect that will cause your IVI driver to fail on the Initialization method. The defect can also cause National Instrument’s VISA to be unable to open VISA resources.

To fix this defect, you can do one of the following:

1. Install Agilent IO Libraries Suite 15.0 (or later)

2. Install the Agilent IVI Driver Patch for Windows Vista/7
