N9342C, N9343C, N9344C Handheld Spectrum Analyzer (HSA) Firmware

You can also update N9342C, N9343C or N9344C firmware with USB stick.

Warning
Do not perform the firmware upgrade with an encrypted USB memory sticks, which may cause unrecoverable hardware failure of the instrument.

Upgrade Process

1. Download upgrade pack HSA Firmware A.04.28.
2. Extract files to the root directory of a USB stick. You will see a folder named “N934xDATA” with file N934XUPGRADE.PAC.
3. Insert the USB stick into the TOP panel USB connector.
4. Press [Shift] > [System Mode] > {More} > {Service} > {Upgrade Firmware} to activate the updating procedure.
5. Press Enter to upgrade the firmware. This upgrade procedure including checking file, copying files will take about 10 to 15 minutes. Please keep power on and USB memory connected during upgrade process.
6. If the HSA is upgraded from a very low firmware version, it will upgrade FPGA and ask customer to press "Enter" button. Please press "Enter" button and wait for about 5 minutes. The screen will be turned off sometimes.
7. Unplug the USB memory and restart the HSA when message, “All Modules have been upgraded, please restart” is displayed.
8. Press [Shift] > {System Mode} > {System Info} > {Show System} to view the firmware version. The MCU firmware version should be A.04.28.
