E5071C-TDR Firmware & Application Software Update

Overview

The software contained in this page enable users to

1. Update the TDR application on your E5071C ENA network analyzer to the latest revision.*
2. Remotely control the TDR application on your E5071C ENA network analyzer with external PCs.

* The software does not support initial installation.
 

1. Download Instructions for Firmware and TDR Application Update

1. Copy the files E5071C Firmware Revision and E5071C-TDR Application Software to a temporary directory (e.g. C:TEMP) on your computer's hard drive.
2. Extract the files by selecting the temporary directory and unzip the .exe files by double-clicking on the file.
3. Perform installation procedures following Updating E5071C-TDR firmware and application.

2. Download Instructions for TDR Application Remote Control

1. Copy the file Agilent IO Libraries Suite to a temporary directory (e.g. C:TEMP) on your computer's hard drive.
2. Select either of 32 bit Version (Windows XP, Windows 7 32 bit) or 64 bit version (Windows 7 64 bit) for "E5071C-TDR Remote Control Software" in accordance with your Operating System, and copy the file to a temporary directory (e.g. C:TEMP) on your computer's hard drive. **
3. Extract the files by selecting the temporary directory and unzip the .exe files by double-clicking on the file.
4. Perform installation procedures following Installing E5071C-TDR application to PC.***

** Ensure that the same revision of the E5071C-TDR application software is installed on the E5071C ENA Network Analyzer.
*** IO libraries Suite 16.1.14931.0 must be installed before the installation of the E5071C-TDR remote control software.

Known Issues for TDR application Rev 1.01

• Eye diagram measurement does not work properly when zero level is set to a negative value. Some measurement parameters shown in the bottom right list are incorrect.
  Workaround: Please enter zero or positive value in "Zero Lv." box.
