N9340B Handheld Spectrum Analyzer (HSA) Firmware

**WARNING** Do NOT upgrade firmware with an encrypted USB memory stick, this can cause unrecoverable instrument hardware failure.

Upgrading using the N9340B PC software:   

1. N9340A/B PC software A.01.04 or higher version allows you to upgrade N9340A/B firmware via LAN connection, download the latest N9340A or N9340B PC software
2. Follow the Firmware Update via LAN instructions to upgrade the firmware

Upgrading using a USB memory stick:

1. Download upgrade pack of current version firmware for N9340A or N9340B
2. Extract files to the root directory of a USB stick, you will see a folder named “N9340DATA” with file Bappupgrade.h
3. Insert the USB stick into the TOP panel USB connector
4. Press [SYS] > {More} > {More} > {Upgrade} > {Firmware} to activate the updating procedure
5. Press Enter to upgrade the firmware. This upgrade procedure including checking file, copying files will take about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep power on and USB memory connected during upgrade process.
6. Unplug the USB memory and restart the N9340B when message, “All Modules have been upgraded, restart” is displayed
7. Press {SYS} > {More} > {Show System} to view the firmware version. The MCU firmware version should be the current firmware version
