Are the Agilent 53131A, 53132A, and 53181A inputs floating or grounded?
The counter inputs are not floating -- the BNC shield (shell) is at chassis ground (earth ground).

Does the frequency counter come standard with a 10MHz external time base option?
Yes. A standard time base is provided that can be routed to other instruments for synchronization. You may also supply your own external time base as an input to the frequency counter.

None of the counters can communicate over RS-232. Frequency counters must use GPIB to communicate with the PC. RS-232 is used for printing only.
