GPIB commands to read the max ratings of the DC supply

Hi all,

I would like to know if there are a GPIB query command that would let me know the max voltage and current ratings of the following DC supplies? I searched in the manuals with no luck Your help would be highly appreciated.

E5280/E5281B, N57xx, 662xA

Hi Ajay,

I am not familiar with the first model numbers that you mention. Can you double check them?

For the N5700 supplies, it is a standard SCPI query:
VOLT? MAX
CURR? MAX

These should return the maximum programmable values.

662xA was pre SCPI and it has a very simple programming interface. The only way you would know what the maximums are is by making a lookup table based on the model number.

I was not aware of these standard queries. I couldn't find it in the N5700 series user guide.(http://cp.literature.agilent.com/litweb/pdf/5969-2917.pdf)

E5280B/E5281B are the HPSMU and MPSMU that go into E5270B measurement mainframe (http://www.home.agilent.com/sec/product.jspx?nid=-33786.536895055.00&lc=eng&cc=US).

The part of Agilent that I work for does not own the E5280/E5281 but I do have a response from them:

"E5270B which is the mainframe of E5280B HPSMU or E5281B MPSMU doesn't have a query command for getting maximum voltage or current."
