Hello, I hope that I post in the good subject.

I would like to reduce the intermodulation thanks to a sofware ( or whatever) for my spectrum analyseur ( EXA) .
Maybe VSA could do it?

I explain: I have a vector generator linked to my spectrum analyseur. The vector generator generates 2 tons but there are intermodulation too . And I would like to "delete" this intermodulation ( see attach files ) .

I heard that a software could do it .

Thanks.

OK, so I'm poaching here...

But the easiest way is to just switch to the PNA-X! It has better than 90 dBc IMD.

I know there are software techniques, which essentially use multitone ARB to create low level tones at each of the IMD freqs, and then use phase shifting to cancel the IMD that is self generated (as well as the LO feedthrough). You can probably try some experiments yourself start by programming the level to be the same as the Self Generated IMD, then start phase shifting the tones and see if you can get them to cancel.

Thanks for your answer.

Ok I will try what you said but that looks a bit complicated. I thoutght that Agilent made a sofware to do it easily, a lot of person could use it.

Hi Francisleblé -

I have checked with our team, unfortunately the VSA software cannot do this.

Sorry -
