I have set up a VI that samples frequency with a 53220A for a period of time and computes stats (Avg, Max , Min, STDev). I have been successful in outputting the results to the front panel of my Vi, but i am having troubles writing results to file. Any advice how i can get the string from the output buffer to an excel file (array)? I have attached my vi, the resulting file contains un-meaningful data.

OK, i got it figured. I Used the above posted VI and modified with build array functions to plug into an excel file. Created a header by writing then reading to a text file (could not figure out how to do this directly to excel). I am fairly new to this whole LabView thing but this VI seems to produce the results that i want, this may be the long way around and there may be a more direct approach. Go ahead an use it if you like, the counter functions were built in Agilent connection expert, then exported the SCPI out into VISA in LV.
