Hello,

I'm trying to run the front panel calibration routine on a 6633B and for some reason it does not enter the routine. Following the instructions in the user manual on page 60 I press Output and select *RST then Enter. I enable the output of the supply. I press the blue shift button and the shift annunciator comes on, but when I press the Cal button, the shift annunciator goes off and the power supply returns to operating mode showing voltage and current on the display. The serial number of my supply is US36390405 if it matters. Otherwise the supply is working perfectly. I must be doing something wrong, but what?

Thanks for any help!

Jay

After much mucking about, I've found that this will happen if the SYST:LANG is set to COMP. After changing the language to SCPI, the front panel calibration can be performed. This makes no sense to me and I'm wondering if this might be a firmware bug?

Thanks!

And I look in the manual and see that this is the case. I ASSumed that this only pertained if you were doing a cal over GPIB. I'll fill out form ID10T now...
