Thanks for the extra inputs.
1) I was indeed wrong with the amount of dataPoints: e.g. for 20nm range at 1nm step, we need 21 points instead of 20. Therefore the SME trigger option is now working.
2) By changing this option it is possible now to go to smaller averaging time (i haven't cheched the limit yet, but it's faster now).
3) Everything seems to work now, but only for very low powers. There is indeed something wrong with the range of the power meter. So I set the now the power meter to a fixed reference value of 10dBm, by
SENS2:CHAN1:POW:RANG 10DBM
However, when i ask directly after what's his range is, he gives -60.0 dBM.
It seems that this command is not working properly.

I'm aware i should try the other software first, so i will try this in meanwhile. Do you have another idea how to solve this overload?
Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,
That looks pretty good.
Maybe the only thing missing is to disable the autorange mode before setting the range. That seems to be necessary with a separate command.
sens2:chan1:pow:rang:auto 0
Everything else looks good!
