Turn Off Signal After Single-Epoch of Modulation

Hello,

I'm using the E4438C "Real Time I/Q Baseband Generator" to produce a QPSK signal from a user-defined file (with 1 second worth of symbols). I configured the system to single-run and external trigger, so it only generates the 1 second modulation at the rising edge of the trigger. The problem I have is that at the end of the 1 second modulation the system continues to transmit the final symbol, which here produces a tone.

I need to determine a method to have the signal completely shut off after the final symbol. Is a setting option that produces this effect? FYI, I have available a TTL pulse that corresponds to the time I want the system to shut off. Is there any way to use that to trigger the system to turn off the RF power?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve
